RE: Vu Qube basic question

It may work, it depends on how your RV is wired. If it is a "CABLE" imput, your coax most likely has a "splitter" and satellite wiring must be able to pass voltage. You may need to re-wire or add a "Satellite" imput, using a "Diplexer" ( they pass voltage)to split the feeds. Of course you will also need a satellite converter box for the TV and will need to subscribe to a satellite provider such as Direct TV.

RE: Wiring Clearance Lights (12v) Shock Hazard?

First of all, you won't feel a real shock from 12 volts! Second, if you leave the switch for the lights in the "OFF" position, there will be no current going thru the wires. Make sure you connect the ground (-) to the ground on the lights (usually white or black) & positive (+) (usually red) to positive on lights.

RE: Long Key SP trailer parking

I stayed there on 45 last year, it's going to be
very tight! Had my tow dolly slid alongside my 33' Class A, but the ranger came around and made me move it as it was only allowed on driveway (along sides was sand). Had to slide dolly under rear of MH.

RE: ? Master tow dolly safety chains to toad

I added the safety chains to my MasterTow Dolly. I tow a Honda Accord and place the chain around the lower A-frame of the front suspension. I leave a little slack for movement.

RE: some 110 outlets dont work

No problem! That's one of the nice things about this forum; getting imput from others that have been through the same thing!

RE: some 110 outlets dont work

Check to make sure one of your GFI Duplex plugs didn't trip. There should be one under the kitchen cabinet.

RE: Running a cable into mh

I added an external female cable outlet on the right front, in front of the tire on my class A. They are available at most rv supply stores. I than ran satellite coaxal cable thru the firewall, up the front windshield post, and into the compartment where the TV converter box is. I than installed an A/B switch and use the outside jack for an external dish if my automatic roof dish cannot get a signal, due to trees.

RE: Doghouse insulation

I insulated mine too, it made a big difference. I used sound deadening insulation from West Marine,(JC Whitney has it too). I also used foil backed fiberglass duct insulation from Lowes ( roll type about 4" wide)to insulate the defroster duct air hoses. It made a big difference in lowering the noise too! Also make sure you fill any holes in your firewall with foam!

RE: satelite dish

You must enter the zip code you are in to get the correct settings for the dish, as to satellite providers, Direct TV satellites are the easiest to find. Go to this address for a good deal on a complete package, the meter helps a lot! http://installeroasis.com/tripod-system-kits-c-43.html

ALL AMERICAN CAMPERS FARMINGDALE NJ SERVICE CLOSED

I just went to All American Campers service department Farmingdale, Monmouth County New Jersey and was told they are keeping the sales department open, but they closed their service department! How can you sell rvs but not have a service department! Anyone buying an RV there, keep this in mind! Their service department had been quite good, and their service manager 'Rick' was very knowledgable. I guess it's a sign of the poor economy or poor sense of business!

RE: 1999 Pace Arrow headlight problem

Or it might be a bad high-beam switch. Take a 12 volt test light and check to see if there is any power at the headlight, than if not, check for power at the highbeam switch (if you can get to it). Good luck!

RE: Daytona Beach Bikeweek 2009

You can try " Sugar Mill Ruins" campgrounds campground in Ormond Beach (which is just south of Daytona). Nice family type campground, but all motorcycles must be placed in a fenced in area in the front of the campground! They are not allowed on your site! The campground has full hookups, dirt roads, and had a nice breakfast for everyone Saturday morning.

RE: Williamsburg/Jamestown

Don't go to Anvil! Stayed there several years ago, a lot of run-down permanent trailers, close to highway noise, there are freight train tracks that run almost thru the campground, and when a train passes (about 4 times in a night), you would swear it was an earthquake! Check out "RV Campground reviews" too.
